Is it too late to hatch a few more chicks now? 'Cus I really want some more!

Bear in mind though that the chicks will need maximum daylight to grow so hatching now probably isnt the best idea although not completely out of the question

 

Dont forget if you set eggs now they wont hatch for 3 weeks and will be growing as the weather turns colder

Me too, but they're big sturdy breeds I'm hatching. I made the mistake of hatching Polands under a broody in September once and will not be doing that ever again. The chicks spent the entire winter under heat in my garage!

Ive got some eggs under a broody now, due to hatch next week, im hoping they'll be fine with mum

I have some due to hatch in mid Aug but only because to suppliers hen went broody at the time i ordered them.

I do have a nice unused conservertory for them to use if it turns nasty though.

I have 4 due to hatch under a pekin at the weekend, then that's it
