bluekarin Posted July 29, 2011 Share Posted July 29, 2011 I've just had this link from Etsy wool dryer balls and wondered if anyone here has heard of/used them? I've found some tutorials on how to make them and places where to buy them (mainly from the US) but don't really want to go to the effort and expense if it's not worth it. I quite like using dryer sheets when tumbling clothes during the wet winter/autumn/spring/summer months so if these do work then they maybe a cheaper way of doing so. Just seems very time and energy consuming as you need to do two layers of felting, which involves hot washing and then tumbling twice before being ready. I like the idea of the ones with a scent impregnated, but only seem to be able to get them from the US. After my last delivery from there costing £15 more than it should of, I'm a bit wary of doing that. I' shall keep a look out. Blackrocksrock Posted September 9, 2011 Share Posted September 9, 2011 My daughter bought me 2 of these a yellow and a red one - they were lavender scented and the scent has gone now - they are fine and less noisy than the plasticy things - I never used any before and they seem fine to me.
