Omlet cube and run

I am new to facebook and apart from my eldest daughter I am friendless, a sad insight into my life.

 

I have made a request to join the bookgroup that used to here, but there must be other Omlet groupings I'm sure?

There is an Omleteers group and an Omleteers Addicted to Farmville . Neither are used much though so you'd be better just adding people you recognise from here (which can be hard as we all have real names on FB - I do have a list of Omleteers' real names but it's a bit out of date).

 

PM me your real name, if you like, and I can start you off .

 

And if you like Scrabble, there are a few of us that play that on FB .

and me - I play Scrabble as with ANH and Quickcluck I also play some of the other games but if you don't they are easy enough to block entirely so you don't get any of the requests etc.

I used to play games on facebook a lot - but I really just use it to keep up with people now as I don't have time to do anything else outside of work

Ah, but this Scrabble is easy, you have a dictionary which you can type anything you think might be a word (which usually is!) and can use the most ridiculous "words" imaginable .

Thanks all I have had a busy couple of days so haven't been around, have sent some PMs

 

Would like Scarabble but not very good at it, my OH always beats me hands down even though I am much better at most word games than him and pretty good at crosswords.

I am afraid that I am going the other way with Facebook, & only having people I actually know,& have spoken to face to face on my friends list,unless I interact with them on there regularly.

It all got a bit too much with so many things to read.

So,am having a cull - please don't be offended if I knock you off my list,but I want to keep it a bit more real

I can understand that, although I can't see me getting that many friends I have lived a pretty insular life with my family for the last 20 years or so, which is no bad thing. I have only got facebook because i got a new phone with a facebook app and I thought that i would see what all of the fuss was about.

 

It has been fun seeing who is on it from my past though with a few interesting discoveries.

 

I presume that the bookgroup that was on here and went to facebook has dwindled away now?

I must admit I only really use facebook to keep in touch with family (mostly cousins) and have tried to only add a few friends that are the sort of friends that feel more like family. I'm trying to find the words to gracefully refuse to accept a friend request from a lovely lady that used to work for me and to de-friend one or two people I accepted in the early days when I hadn't worked out how I was going to use facebook and now don't really fit my criteria

 

However I'd wondered what had happened to the Omlet book club

Most of mine are family and people I know from the last few years really. I've had to delete a young family member as his posts were getting rather too much. Its a great way of keeping in touch with my cousins though as we've all had our own families and don't get together much very more.

 

My MIL says its the only way she knows whats happening in the family she only lives 5 minutes away.
