She was absolutely fine yesterday and was enjoying sweetcorn last night before bed time. She stopped laying a couple of months ago, and I think she had just worn herself out. Thank you Kipper for sharing your time with me, and all those lovely eggs, your funny little ways, the cuddles we shared, your brass necked cheek when there were Rich Tea biscuits about !! I had exactly the same experience with Ivy my Gingernut earlier this week. At least you know she had a good life and didn't suffer at the end. When an animal dies that has been especially close to someone here, that pet goes to Rainbow Bridge. There are meadows and hills for all of our special friends so they can run and play together.
