poppy33
I have a tiny little Buff Sussex girl, she is tiny, her comb is only just visibly growing so she is very young, I booked two and then when the lady said i could collect they were tiny! one has thrived and the other has whilst being very active and eating lots never really put on any growth, I have dosed them twice with Flubenvet, then they started scratching, I knew it was not the house as they are in a brand new house, they had no signs of lice/mites and the vet said he thought it may be the feathers coming through, they still continued the scratch their heads on and off and the vet gave me some Ivermectin to apply under their wings, this I di last week. All of my other 3 girls were fine, but the next day the tiny backward chicken was quiet and hunched, not at all right, she seemed in a daze, I thought it might have been the Ivermectin, the dose was 0.02mls and as she is tiny I thought it may have overdosed her? yesterday she was the same, I have syringed a strong sugar solution and water into her at regular intervals, she can stand but her tail is low and she keeps closing her eyes, I feel she may have something else, the vet said to start her on Baytril, which I did last night. sadly she is still flat today should I mix up some gloopy food and syring into her ? or just contine with sugar & water. does anyone have any ideas, I have looked down her crop, I cant see any gape worms, she does sometimes give a little cough and flick her head but I cant see anything. all help and answers greatly appreciated as we are very worried about little Buttercup
