Unsecure chicken perches

Hi,

 

I am new to posting but have been browsing the forum for a few months after getting two bluebelles from fluffy chick. After having them for a couple of months the morehens disease struck so I got a light suffolk and a sussex, after a few days of looking at each other they decided they wanted to be together and flew over the divider in the walk in run and have been a happy little flock ever since The bluebells are called Tikka and cinnamon and the suffolk Jasmine and lastly at the bottom of the pecking order but the most adorable is Nigella.

 

just thought I would introduce myself and the girls and look forward to getting lots of advice from all the long time chicken keepers on her

Hi Plum,

 

The suffolk is white with with black feathers round its neck and a couple in its tail, I will figure out how to put pictures on soon and post some as I have lots!!! as we all do they are so photogenic...

sounds similar to a light sussex white with black shawl and tail...I have buff sussex who is a pretty golden brown with a black shawl and tail feather. Can't wait for the photos

I have a Pied Suffolk

ooops... i apparently have a light sussex and a pied suffolk, as you can tell I am a totall newbie! I will post pictures very soon, obviously i am in the right place as I apparently have a lot to learn!!!!

don't worry about it I constantly said my buff sussex was a light sussex when I first got her...and as for my aracana .......aracuna .......acrana...well anyway I find it hard to spell the lavender ones!

Oh yes, lets have pictures if only so we can all learn the difference between a light sussex and a pied suffolk. Both sound very pretty indeed.

yes please...I am thinking about a light sussex to go with my buff...but maybe a pied suffolk.....or one of each or......darn it I have got morehens again!

I love Buff Sussex! Are the photos too big? they are on mine, even though I've changed them to medium on photobucket. Sorry!

The Pied Suffolk (Lillie) is the one at the front (sorry, I dont have a very good picture of her by herself)

Oh thanks percy049 for the pictures. Your Pied Suffolk is really beautiful. Well, so is your Sussex but I'd never seen a Pied Suffolk before.
