smudgley
My husband finished making the chicken run & couldn't wait to get some chickens... so we had a day at the Domestic wildfowl trust in Honeybourne yesterday to have a look at the different breeds there, very nearly bought a Bluebell & a white star but when we came back from viewing all the chickens - they'd all been sold. So we went to Gloucester & got 4 goldlines. They are 15 weeks old. they look nice & healthy & seem friendly. We've had chickens from there before. We want to get a couple of light sussex too, but finding them really hard to get hold of. I love the buff sussex, but they are like gold dust! Will try & post some pictures of the girls later.... oh & they need names. Edited June 19, 2007 by Guest
Guest
Congratulations on the new girls You could name them after favourite book/tv/film characters, as you can see we have (Doctor Who) and the other two my eight year old daughter named (Dannii and Kylie) Flowers, islands, wine, food..... I could go on
craftyhunnypie
Hiya - I visited Cotswold chickens last a week and a half ago and they had loads of light sussex, white stars, amber stars & 1 bluebell! It's situated on the banbury to Chipping Norton Road. About 4 miles out of Banbury on the right hand side - not easy to spot & it's a stud farm. Chickens very healthy & kept in spotless conditions in stables. I can recommend the place! Good luck! Emma.x
chrisnrob
Are you sure they're not ex-bats Smudgley? Rob

You were literally on our doorstep - let me know if you're going back and you can pop over for tea and cake.
craftyhunnypie
Awwww - I was desperate to just see some chickens whilst on holiday. Withdrawal symptoms. So hubby took me to Cotswold chickens to see some & whether it would be a good place to get our next ones from. I'd have loved to have popped in!
