beach chick
I've heard that it is a really good year for spiders; and if my garden/house is anything to go by its true! (WHY do they have to build webs where I will walk through them?? such a waste of their efforts, but they particularly seem to like the path by the house which I HAVE to walk down to get in the garden; and then the bit on the way into the WIR which again I cant avoid - such a waste of all their hard work). it also seems to be a particularly good year for slugs - we have HUNDREDS every morning. spiders I quite like; but slugs? chuckmum6
We have had lots and lots of ladybirds, had a horrid walk through a plague of them when I was visiting the n Yorkshire coast yuk!
LuckyChickenLover-
We have TONS of ladybirds and slugs here. There's also a lot of scorpion things... I have no idea what they're called, they're black and orange. EDIT: Just found out that the orange scorpions are ladybird lava. That makes sense. You learn something new every day. craftyhunnypie
Loads of spiders here in the country - funny longy leggy things, a bit like daddy long legs. I don't have a problem with those sort. Emma.x

Looney
Masses and masses of spiders here. I went into the garden after dark last night and there were loads in their webs on the fence. They all have two little dimples on their backs. I was totally fascinated! Haven't seen too many slugs, though the hedgehog I've seen seems a hefty fella so maybe he's polishing them off for us!
