Pro - Does anyone else's nest boxes get soaked in rain?

I need help...........

 

In an attempt to drag me kicking and screaming into the technological age, Mr W has bought me an Archos 7 Home tablet. What I can't seem to do is download any apps from the Android market Place as it won't recognise my gizmo ( when I click on the bit of the site where it should recognise my devise it says there's none registered) help! I have looked through the apps on the Archos specific site but they don't have all the apps I want (like Angry Birds, the quilting app, Planet Rock........... )

 

I have managed to access the Omlet forum on it though

 

I have emailed both Android Market Place and Archos but I wondered if any of the Omlet techie types knew the answer.

I thought it was a drawing tablet, so I was at least in the right ballpark

It means you are left to deal with the AppsLib service, so you only have limited access to Android apps. Some sites will offer apps when you visit a webpage, or you can download them directly in some cases, but searching and browsing AppsLib you won't find much that will get you excited. We have also found AppsLib to be buggy and it threw up a load of errors when downloading and installing apps, and was incredibly slow in downloading relatively small apps.

Thank you. I think it will be going back to the shop I can't even get it to talk to it's own apps library.

I have the same tablet,I think I registered my A7ht on the archos website first then made a account up on the appslib,its a very limited apps site nothing like Android Market,have downloaded a few free books and a couple of suduko games but use mine mainly for music and storing photos on having trouble updating my appslib at the mo so cant use appslib.I think the other A7 is better the Archos7 Internet tablet but came out after my OH bought me this for my bd.

Panic over. Took it back this evening ( wretched thing refused to connect to the appslib today and then I had to do a full restore on it) and replaced it with a nice easy to use Kindle ( the 3G one ) - so much easier to use. Just need to work out how to put music on it next.
