Kazzy73
Well this morning it finally happened Paxo was heard crowing so it was official she was a he,so I phoned the garden centre where I got him from this afternoon and they said fine bring him back and pick a new one.Well daughter has picked this chicken with a mohican and a bit frizzley ( will post piccys when she comes out tomorrow). When we left the people in the pet department had got Paxo out the box and were talking to him they said he gets to share the run with their big girls tonight (rangers, sussex etc) so hes gonna be one happy boy before going back to the breeders they buy from. Kazzy73
this is Paxo who has gone to join some girls at the garden centre he was so pretty and so lovable (apart from when he was chasing BBQ around like a mad man) but he got noisy and I have a very animal unfriendly neighbour this is the new girl (fingers crossed lol)she has a slight frizzle to her feathers and is moulting alot so doesnt like being picked up with out making alot of noise. still havent got a name for her ......so got the kids thinking what to call her. There was a beautiful lavender chicken (cant remeber the breed have seen some on here) there really really wanted it but daughter picked this one. Snowy
She looks like an exploding feather duster! (in a very nice way of course ) She does look lovely - is she definitely a 'she'? There are lots of different colours going on there in that hairdo!
Kazzy73
love the explosion and duster comments, got my fingers crossed its a she but until she starts laying im not taking it for granted. She has settled down lovely Korma had a good few pecks and chased her around for a while but now they have become best buddies and sit sunbathing(what little sun there is) and have both decided BBQ is still the boss, hoping today that might go see if that pretty lavender chicken is still at garden centre as have has 8 girls for quite a while now so fingers crossed shes still there and it will be 9 girls Then begins the fun of introducing them to the big girls, scared the big girls will get really aggressive and hurt them as Korma, explosion and BBQ are so small.
