memphisto
Have acquired my first chicken related injury this evening, tripped over Maisy as she was being escorted from the kitcheb fell out the patio doors and dislocated a bone in my wrist . After going to minor injury unit, they pushed and tugged it back into place and it's now in a big bandage, it was supposed to be plastered but by the time we'd done, plaster room was closed, but would rather not have it plastered. It's being checked again tomorrow pm but it's agony. Maisy knew something was up, she ran away initially but then came back and stood by me all quizzically and making noises at me! Have decided to acquire 2-3 more girls this week from our usual breeder, hoping for at least one Appenzeller but after that, no more, well aside from the buffs who are reserved but no more buying chickens I'm ringing the breeder first thing and she what she has and go from there
Ain't Nobody Here
Ouch, that sounds really painful . Hope it's feeling better soon . Can't believe you blithely carry on talking about chickens with an injury like that . A true Omleteer .
Cheeky Chooky
Oh you poor thing! Sounds soooo painful While you were getting treatment, you could have asked them if they could give you anything for your dreadful case of morehens disease though! memphisto
They found it hilarious though but 2 nurses there keep chickens also, so it didn't help when they were saying they also wanted more! I can't believe how many people actually keep chickens round where we are
