fluffy chick Posted November 22, 2011 Share Posted November 22, 2011 I'm 16 and had the chickens for a year now Took me a while to persuade the parents to let me keep chickens but now everyone loves them ! How brilliant! I'm 37 and have had my girls 3 years now. Had some at home when growing up and have always been adament that as soon as I had somewhere with a decent garden I'd have chickens. Ended up buying my childhood home off my divorcing parents with my OH. So chooks were a priority. OH kept saying no - no chickens until one christmas when he led me up the garden in my dressing gown blindfolded to a set up run & Chicken house!! I burst into tears I was so happy I was straight in and on the computer putting myself down for 3 ExBatts (the limit according to the OH)....and it kinda snowballed from there.......Have 11 now Ahh how sweet! I'm 30, had chickens for a couple of years, started with 3, had 6 'chickens of fate' that I rehomed, sadly lost 2 and currently have 10.
