auntielizzie
Don't know what the weather was like elsewhere, but here in Hertfordshire it was a beautiful day. It started off very foggy, but then turned into a lovely sunny bright day - not too warm, but very mild. So, the girlies and Patrick (the kitten who spends most of his life up the apple tree and stalking Betty - bad move) had a good day free-ranging. I put the girls away late afternoon just in case of any foxes lurking about, but it was lovely to see them pootling around. Only slight problem is new neighbours with yappy dog - can't help feeling anxious about it being out at the same time as the girlies. Much preferred it when the house next door was empty
Plum
Hmm fog and drizzle here all day but still lovely, like you say watching them outside dustbathing and rooting around the garden. Roll on long evenings again
Cheeky Chooky
Yes, it was a lovely day here too once the fog had lifted Cleaned the eglu (still can't believe how easy it is!) and spent lots of time with the girls, having cuddles and chatting chicken Can't wait to get my WIR so I can sit in there with them
jackian
Here was foggy first thing and that is the way it stayed all day I am in Bucks ...It was dry though and the girls spent precious time in the garden FR. Florry was catching the drips off the garden chair from the dew and they had a football game with a snail ..I do people with eglus , I have a wooden coop which is fine but a chore to clean...maybe next year . Cheeky Chooky
Oh I hope you can get one next year. I got mine on 1st November (and that night I joined this forum ) via eBay. I've had wooden coops before and all but one (from Flyte so Fancy which was fab) were not a patch on the eglu! Fingers crossed for you
The Warrens
yesturday was sunnier than today here did the house work as per norm then......... went and collect 4 bags of hard wood chips for B&Q at £3 a bag - going back tomorrow for more as i found a B&Q gift card in one of my handbag, so not sure how much is on it, but i will pop in tomoz to stock up some more while there £3 a bag then went the farm shop and stocked up on some esstentals for the chooks - purple spray, apple cider , poultry spice, bucket brush for eglu cleaning & the egg shell enhancer - couldnt believe it when it came to £23 - they dont put prices on there products, so you only find out once your at the till so spent £35 on the chickens to day least it will last me a while Been doing some research on chook runs and looking at the threads on here and then drawning some chicken run ideas, for when we move, i want a decent set up, ive got the eglu and run, which is ideal for the cleaning side of it and when i go away i can put the house and run in the o/h van and drop then off with my parents when were away - but i want to build and indoor and outdoor run for the chooks once we move and the o/h is very handy building ect, so they will have a palace
