skye
After the sad demise of our Ruby Bumbler last week, we were down to four old-age hens and no eggs, so we took a trip to Hen House Poultry in Maidstone yesterday... came back with these three little darlings: a light sussex hybrid, a barred plymouth rock hybrid and a skyline Any name suggestions gratefully received... struggling with this one... just want to call all three 'darling'! skye x
ClaudetteDay
What a lovely pick me up after getting our chook put to sleep this morning. Not a huge chicken expert, only ever had one flock, but I certainly can appreciate some pretty birds when i see some! they're gorgeous! Ain't Nobody Here
What gorgeous little girls, congratulations . I usually go down the onomatopoeic (sp?!) route - Milly, Molly, Maisie then Poppy and Penny. Then ES took over and we got Beth, Steph and Jess . Have you checked the Wiki for inspiration? docsquid
Beautiful girls! It is nice to have themed names. Mine are all Welsh, and I tend to use the same first letter when adding chickens...

MedusA
I always find names do suggest themself. I bought two Speckled Sussex Bantams on Saturday and my friend's little boy said they looked like they had stars all over them so they are named Sparkle and Twinkle. My ex-batts are all "Herbs" My Silkies were named from Harry Potter references (Muggle and Squib) and my first ever chickens were a and a from Omlet and the ginger one suggested Scully so the was automatically Mulder. Give it time. The names will come.
