Shelley
I let my three girls out this morning and one plopped out a shell-less egg right at my feet. I then looked in the nesting box and found another one in there. Not a sign of any shell - almost frying pan ready. Not sure if it's one or two girls responsible, but do I have a problem? Mr Rhode Island Red
Young hens naturally lay soft (or non-shelled) eggs while they get into the swing of laying. If you're hens are young, there isn't really any need for concern. But if they are older hens, could you tell me what you are feeding them?
