koo2cat
Hi everyone, We collected our 3 new Cotswold Legbars 4 weeks ago and they have settled in nicely. They are around 22 weeks old now and growing well, starting to get red faces and combs now. They have been in a seperate eglu and run up against the main chicken cube and run so that they could see the old girls and the old girls could see them. I was wondering when to put them all in together? The grass is now getting very manky where the new girls are and I could really do with having them altogether soon. They have done some free ranging together and seemed ok apart from the odd peck which I would expect. The newbies seem to just be afraid of the oldies and won't go near them Do I just bite the bullet or wait a bit longer? Any thoughts? Ain't Nobody Here
Four weeks is a fair amount of time for them to have got used to each other. I'd give it a go but be prepared to revert back to them being separated if necessary!

tracyann
You have done that the right way. That's the way I always do my intros is to let them see each other and then let them go for it. They have to sort out a pecking order between them all, but just leave them longer each time you let them free range. They will be fine!!
