sheik
Our pullets are on "grower" feed, which doesn't contain grit, so I've been sprinkling a (very) small handful on top of their feed. Slightly worried that this wasn't enough though, I placed a small Chinese teacup containing grit next to their water this morning, and within a few minutes Xena had swallowed about a third of it. Does that sound OK? Also, does the grit come out naturally with their droppings? Thanks, /\dam
starboyhull
Hi, I am feeding ours on organic layers pellets which do contain grit, but I have also added a small bowl with poultry grit, from keeping other birds I think they will only eat as much as they need but im sure someone more expereinced will be able to help more.... Egluntyne
I leave a pot (anchored down) in each run and they help themselves. They are 6" plant pots which I fill about once a fortnight.
