Today I learned how to split logs. I split a whole silver birch. I'm so proud of myself I was splitting most of the logs with only one hit. I think I will definitely need a hot bath tonight!

I admire you! We bought our logs in already spit, but they are not they best split logs I've seen!

There is something very satisfying about wielding and axe, I love making our salvaged wood into kindling, one day I will lose a finger or two.

I learned something else new today. My 8-yo taught me a grade 1 piano exam piece. Very challenging. It wasn't just a lesson in how to play but also in how to teach. I will definitely give more time for the brain to reach the hands from now on. I now have to practice the piece every day without getting frustrated with it. A certain person is loving it!
