patsylabrador Posted January 11, 2012 Share Posted January 11, 2012 I have mentioned before how ES tends to get caught up in natural disasters, either by being there or how they affect him. The last two he was in were the earthquakes in New Zealand and Japan. We now joke that he is a bringer of bad events. He is now coaching in Austrian Tyrol and whilst it's not a disaster, they have had extremely heavy snow. The mayor of the town ES is in said he has never experienced such snowfall. Hundreds of tourists are stranded there as the roads are blocked and there is risk of avalanche. He emailed me this morning and said this disaster thing is getting a bit predictable. He and some other instructors have been stranded in their house because of avalanches but have now made it into town, although they're now stuck there. He said his socks are getting a bit stiff!
