I am thinking of buying a facial sauna/steamer for a teenager for their skin. Can anyone recommend a particular brand or type? I have gone round and round in circles searching on Google

i brought a cheap one from argos. Admitedlly not for my skin but for my congestion. Works fine. I think it was about £10

That is a much better idea.

 

I have the argos bargain and it worked fine, it gets very steamy. Unfortunately I then knocked it over and after an emergency trip to A and E and lots of treatment I am left with a hand size burn mark in the top of my leg. They do, after all continue to boil water! I haven't used mine since!!!

Thought I'd post a quick update as it may help those with teenage skin issues. As posted I ended up buying one of These and the results have been amazing. DD uses it morning and evening and her skin has been blemish free since she started using it Wish I had bought one earlier

Maybe I should get YD using hers again, her skin is much better than it was a couple of years ago, but still causes her problems. There was an article in the Metro yesterday saying that thyme is more effective in the treatment of acne than any prescription products but it failed to say in what form.

I think that the trials had used a tincture by the sounds of it.

 

I've got a sage based throat spray (bought abroad) which is the best I've ever had.

 

On the subject of bad skin... Rosie had a couple of rare spots the other day, dunno what she put on them but it has burned her skin and she now has two big red splodges on her face. hopefully she'll learn from that one. I have popped some aloe gel and 8 hour cream on them and they look a bit better this morning.

Katie doesn't use much in the way of lotions and potions, she has used a couple of facial washes and scrubs but has found that plain water is better. She has been wearing way too much makeup though and cleans that off with water and Simple wipes. She has been using less makeup since the sun has been out, which has helped too.
