heth1986
Firstly, thankyou to all of you who replied to my previous post and helped me make my decisions on which breed of chicken to go for. I did, eventually, rehome my 2 silkies. They are going to live at a local school and help hatch some fertilised eggs (all they ever wanted to do!) and teach the children all about it I, on the other hand, have just picked up 2 beautiful black stars from pages poultry, i'd forgotten how stunning their feathers are with a beetle-green sheen all over and golden flecks around their necks. 'Broke-Neck' (according to my OH this is apparently a hilarious take on the movie 'broke back mountain', I don't find it particularly amusing but seeing as he is getting involved enough to have and name his own chicken which will NOT have a broke-neck...) and 'Wendy' are settling in as I speak and I will post you all some pictures ASAP when they are feeling a little less camera shy... perhaps some meal worms will do the trick! *runs off to garden to sit and watch the girls for a little while longer* Thanks again for all your help!
