Cat and mouse!

Recommended Posts

My lovely sweet, cute little Nala has just brought me a lovely present in the form of a mouse! Unfortunately it was still alive when she let it go. There then followed something from a Carry On film which entailed me trying to catch it in a dust pan (who knows why I thought that was a good idea! ) and it running trying to run up my leg! It eventually escaped under the washing machine and is still there now.

Goodness knows how I'm going to get it out now, guess I'll have let nature take its course and let the cats do their job. Serves me right for trying to rescue it!

My friends live in france and have 2 cats who spend their time catching anything that moves.....they get mice, worms, snails, toads, and Lizards! .......when they catch a lizard by the tail, they detatch their tails, which can twitch on their own for about half an hour. What a nice present to find on your floors! :vom:

You have my sympathy. My lovely departed cat Dave used to catch mice regularly and he loved bringing live ones inside to give me something to do. I absolutely hate mice.

Thankfully my two new kitties don't seem to have discovered mice yet or if they have they have the good sense to leave them outside. :D

I'm getting a about three a week from my cat - he generally scoffs them, leaving just a bit of kidney or whatever it is that they don't eat or leaves a dead one. Occasionally we get a live one which needs to be caught. Our new kitten was playing with a dead one in my daughter's bedroom last night. As I don't think she has ventured properly into the garden yet I can only assume it was one belonging to the other cat and she nicked it!
