Shirl
Does anyone know how long Omlet normally take for delivery by Royal Mail? I ordered an incubator last night and wondered about arranging for collection of eggs on Friday but don't want to do that if it isn't likely to arrive by Saturday. I'm trying to plan the hatching date to be at a weekend when we're all around to watch. Some companies have a quick turn around and some seem to sit on orders. Do they send out and email when the goods are posted?
Egluntyne
If I were you I'd give them a call.
bluekarin
In my experience they are pretty quick, but I would phone and check before you organise getting the eggs.
Shirl
I hate using the phone. I don't know why. I'll leave it then and just try and be patient. Knowing my luck the eggs wouldn't hatch to the normal schedule anyway but I can but try.
Purplemaniacs
If you don't like to phone why don't you email them, I have found them very good at replying to emails. When ever I have spoken to them on the phone I have found them lovely and most helpful. Their delivery is quite quick but I have not ordered anything as large as an incubator, which one did you go for? Chrissie
Shirl
Oh not a large one just the little entry model the Brinsea Mini Eco. I don't work so am around during the day to turn the eggs and I don't think we'll use it too often. I'm lucky enough to have found somewhere where they will take back any cockerels although DP is prepared to do a course on how to kill humanely. I'll email them. I don't know why I didn't think of that.
Lewis
They're normally pretty good and do send out emails once dispatched. I ordered a candler on Saturday, was sent out on Tuesday to arrive today - it didn't but hoping it will tomorrow
Shirl
Oh that sounds good, hopfully I should get it Saturday then. I'll look out for the email although I didn't get one one acknowledging my order so I think I will email anyway.

Good luck with your hatching, our chicks hatched at Easter, it was our first hatch and a great experience although very worrying at times, so many new things to learn Chrissie
Shirl
Ah yes I have been doing lots of reading. We home educate the children so it will be a learning experience for us all.
