I've too have not owned any but they are at the very top of my wish list as I've always heard such lovely things about them with regard to them being friendly and sweet. They also look so pretty when I've seen them in the various shows. Are you looking to get standard or banty size?

I have a salmon fav. Sweetest nature, chats all the time & spreads her wings for the others to coorie under at night. Wouldn't swap her for the world. She is over 3yrs & totally hardy. All the other hens love her too. Can't go wrong with favs. Don't like being confined tho'.

No, do not need any mums They just look so lovely and I wondered how they compared to my girls as they are very broody I do not need any more chickens but always keep a look out for potential additions

Doris is a LF and came from Chalkhill poultry on the dorset border. I'd love some bantam favs!

ChubbyChook, my fav was a chick hatched by another omleteer in these parts. However there is a breeder in the Scottish Borders I can give you details for if you are interested. She had banties last year too. Her hens are totally beautiful. Alli x
