Take part in study on PFAS 'forever chemicals' in eggs

Does anybody know where I can get a used propane bottle 6kg from? I need one for camping and someone suggested that I get a used one and then just refill. I've just rung the local dumps, but they do not sell them on anymore. I've tried freegle but no joy.

 

Any suggestions?

No idea I'm afraid, the garages and other stockists usually charge a deposit on them so I think they are usually always returned.

Do a search on ebay, I picked up a calorgas 907 empty cylinder that way. When we were looking for a cylinder for a new gas barbeque we spotted an empty cylinder in a hedge at the side of the road! That was a lucky bonus

Many thanks for all your replies. I've tried Ebay, but they're not near to where I live. I've also tried freegle but no luck. I've tried the local dumps (you always could get them from there at a nominal price) but was told that due to health and safety they can't do this anymore!! So the last thing is a car boot sale. Fingers crossed. I just don't want to pay the high price for the deposit on the bottle, for which you are never going to get back.
