Eggasperated
Having returned to knitting after 20 years I was wondering how everyone knits their sleeves, I've always knitted one at a time but I'm sure I read somewhere about knitting them at the same time. I assume that's with two different balls of wool but having both sleeves on the needle at once. Is this a good idea? or will I get horrible muddled? Couperwife
my mums always knitted 2 sleeves together on the same needle. i think as long as you take your time you cant get them muddled, apparently it helps you keep them the same length its worth a try... cathy x

Purplemaniacs
My mum often knitted sleeves like that, I have never tried it but perhaps it is worth giving it a go. I guess you could get in a muddle and do two extra rows on one sleeve but if you are careful it seems like a good idea. Chrissie
Space Chick
I wouldn't do it personally as I'm sure I'd get in a muddle However, I always row count my sleeves to ensure they are the same length.
chickweed
Sleeves can have a lot of stitches at their widest point. Two sleeves might also be very heavy and seem to take ages to complete. This could put you off knitting altogether. It is still possible to make an error especially if you put the knitting down half way through a row and come back to it later. I use a stitch counter which slips on to the end of one needle. This works well for me.
craftyhunnypie
If too many stitches on your needles, use a circular needle to hold them & take the weight in your lap. You just use them, as you would normal straight needles. Emma.x
LolaLayla
I do both sleeves at the same time. The only problem is that the balls of wool can get tangled but I have had no mis-knitted rows. I have had more problems when doing sleeves individually, counting lines. Also, psychologically I find it is better, as once you have finished the sleeve that is them done and you don't still have another one hanging over you (so to speak) to do. Before I used this method I ended up with a few UFO's because of still having the next sleeve to do and having run out of enthusiasm....but then maybe that's just me
