Shirl
I have owned my cube for just over 4 years. The other halfh noticed recently that the wheels have had it because they have broken off the frame. It appears to be corroded even though the cube is in a covered run. I'm not happy because it's an expensive hen house and I expected it to last longer. Obviously moving it for jet washing is now impossible. Has anyone else had the same problem? Am I unreasonable to have expected it to last longer? Omlet quoted £60 for a new part. Lewis
Did the attachment to the frame at the front of the cube snap off? The exact same thing happened to mine! Mines on slabs so not as if its in an uneven paddock or something! I agree its an expensive product and you don't expect to have to replace parts after a few years, especially with a "No-Maintenance Design" and "The Eglu is made from high density polyethylene, with materials and workmanship designed for a minimum of 10 years use." I'd be tempted to push the point further, especially as its happened on at least 2 Cube's Be interested to hear how you get on, you'd think Customer Service would be a priority at the moment especially with so much competition around, some now offering Life Guarantees! Shirl
No ours has come apart where the wheels join the frame. Doesn't say much for the quality of the metal used though.
Patricia W
I got a pre-loved one and it had had it's wheels replaced - free of charge, according to the person I bought it from.
