pips_pekins
Hi. OH bought me a trollbeads bracelet for Christmas and until yesterday I had just 4 charms/beads. Whilst out on a dog walk, we stopped for a coffee and I spotted a jewellers selling trollbeads. Two beads were in exactly the right colours to go with my other beads and so I bought them. Once home, I find they will not fit on my bracelet as the centre of both beads is smaller than the end bit that needs to go through them . Has anyone else had this problem? I know they do unique beads but thought this was to allow them to be worn on other brand bracelets not their own. Should I return the beads or try to return the bracelet as I might have a problem finding beads I like to fit?
Janepie33
Are you sure they were genuine Troll beads as there are many many lookalikes. Troll beads are better than Pandora as the bracelet will take both Troll and Pandora, but not the other way round. I would take the beads back and hang on to the bracelet. pips_pekins
I am sure they are genuine as the jewellers are listed as 'gold' stockists by trollbeads and are a reputable jewellers with a number of shops in our area. Thanks for the advice - I will see about taking the beads back
Lesley
Is the bracelet a genuine Trollbead one as well? - as Janepie says most beads will fit a Trollbead bracelet as they are the smallest chain.
abwsco
Have you definately tried threading through the smallest part of the bracelet end. You need to unclip the lock off the bracelet and use that end.
patsylabrador
I bought some beads that are not the genuine article. I just wanted something cheap and cheerful as I lose jewellery quite a lot. A couple of the beads had metal still in the hole that I had to push out firmly. Fitted fine then.
pips_pekins
Thanks for the replies. I have taken the beads back to the shop. They said it has happened before with Pandora but not with Trollbeads. Just my luck. They had another of one of the beads but it was not as nice. They are going to see what other branches have and get back to me. I have only bought genuine Trollbeads products but will make sure in future not to buy if I don't have the bracelet with me to try first. Paola
I have 2 full Trollbead bracelets and never had the problem you have encountered. What a shame
Paola
I have found a great website that sells them and they have free delivery. The delivery is very prompt also www.joshuajamesjewellery.co.uk
AJuff
My friend puchased a genuine trollbead from Amazon for my birthday and it wouldn't fit on my bracelet. It seemed to have a curve in the centre of the bead. She sent it back butthe replacement bead was just the same. She got a refund and went to a shop instead. I'm not convinced it was genuine as the shop purchased bead is totally different. Is the shop reputable where you purchased them from? pips_pekins
It seems the two beads might have to go back to Denmark. I have offered to take them personally It is a shame because as each bead is usually a bit different they don't always look like they do in the catalogue but these ones were really lovely .
