colombier
Hello Can anyone tell me what might be the cause of my bantam's strange neck stretching? One started earlier this week and another has just started. They look as if they trying to dislodge something from their throats. I considered gapeworm but their beaks are not open and their breathing seems normal. I then wondered about sour crop and have tried the suggestions I have read. They don't smell sour and no liquid comes out when they are massaged and 'tipped'. They are eating normally and don't seem generally unwell. As it is so hard to describe, I have filmed one of them. Of course she turned her back during filming but I hope you may be able to see what I mean! Any thoughts would be gratefully received. [url/]Thank you so much. Ain't Nobody Here
Welcome to the forum . It is a bit hard to see what's going on from behind but it doesn't look like any neck stretching my girls have ever done . Have they been wormed with Flubenvet recently? colombier
Hello Thank you so much for replying and taking the time to watch my film. No, I have only wormed them with vern-x. Should I try Flubvanet as a matter of course? Thank you again.

Ain't Nobody Here
No problem! I would definitely use Flubenvet .
laurmurf
verm-x isn't a wormer, it's supposed to repel or discourage worms. Flubenvet is a wormer and actually works - I would always start with a wormer and then check behaviour and health again after that: in my experience, whenever I've taken a chook to the vet the very first question is "when did you last worm her".
