Any advice please (unpleasant subject)

Recommended Posts

My poor friends house backs on to another house divided by a fence. (built up area.) Yesterday she found rubbish on her lawn and hanging in her fur trees The people over the fence rent and had been lobbing it over.

Long story short - she donned gloves and bagged them up saw the man in the garden and lobbed it back giving him a piece of her mind in the process. Her husband also went round and advised them if it happened again there would be hell to pay. She also spoke to landlord who she knows and advised them she would be contacting EH. Sadly she didnt photo evidence but will if happens again. They are renting to get kids into a local school which isnt allowed by school so she is going to tip them off. In 3 weeks they are away and her relative and I look after place and I want to know what to do if any other probs and what to advise her. The rubbish isnt household its personal (health hazard) . I know someone on here will have good advice. Thanks

Too late this time, as all cleared away, but I would still let the police know there may be trouble, do this impassively, and get a log no. If it happens again, then call police. Dont deal with these people(?) yourself, as they are obviously yuk.

I think that contacting the landlord and EH is enough for now, IF it happens again then take photos, leave the rubbish there (don't put yourself at risk clearing it up) and contact the landlord so that he can come and see if himself and make sure that they clear it themselves.

Some folks are really disgusting!

you'll find the police of little use my old next door neighbours had similar problems but with council tennats police didn't want to know. if there was any really nastyness they'ed turn up and go through the motions but that was all

took them best part of 3 years to sell the house so they could get away from it all
