Chortle Chook
I was just wondering why Omlet does not do more for ducks. I know we duck keepers can scratch about and find things from elsewhere or alter chicken things, but considering the huge amount of chicken products that Omlet sell, I feel sure they are missing a trick for the pet duck market. I'm thinking of things like a duck Eglu, a Grub / Glug in ducky blue or yellow, a better selection of books, a duck bath, duck pellets, more duck signs (e.g. ones with a duck picture on them like the lovely little one with a hen and chicken, but with a mother duck and duckling) . . . In the Omlet shop I'm almost all chickend out and recently got a message asking why my purchasing has dwindled . . . but as a new duck keeper . . . well
counturchickens
I second that, particularly as I'm planning ducks for later this year or the spring. I am hankering after the flyte so fancy little duck house....might I have spotted one in your photos?
Egluntyne
I would contact them directly with your suggestions. They don't tend to routinely read the forum.
Chortle Chook
Will do, Egluntyne, but I just wanted to see, first, if this is only my point of view or if others would use things like this too, after all a market of one is not going to be much use to Omlet counturchickens you did indeed see that I have the little Flyte so Fancy duck house Here it is and it is jolly good too. Small but substantial so it can't be blown or pawed over. (The painting is ours, by the way )
coppers
I agree, more duck items would be great. There is a ducklu already in the shop but I can't see how it differs from the chicken one. Unless it has no roosting bars with it?? I am using one of my chicken eglus with the roosting bars taken out and it is fine. xx
Lewis
Customer demand! At work we can sell 300 chickens in a couple of weeks but maybe only 3 ducks in that time. There is a Duck eglu, a modified classic but I prefer using the Go for ducks. More books would be a good idea, tub trugs are great as a duck pond and ducks can eat Layers pellets
