clucker1
Thinking of buying a second hand one. Anyone got one out there? What do you think? I am looking at a hatch and trying to work out what is best, a mini one, a mini first....I think the mini coopers are posher ones. I need a basic mini to drive about 40 miles a week, although would like air con if pos. Apparently the ones made since 2007 are better, don't know why though. angeluk69
I have had 2 Mini's now and I love them!!! I bought my first one in Mar 2011, it was a Cooper S, very sporty and very eyecatching and was always looked at, and made me smile every single day. I must admit the downside was the petrol cost and the £240 tax per year. It cost more to tax this than my OH's High Performance Audi RS4. Also with the growing kids the leg room was becoming a problem. I decided in February this year to trade in the Cooper S for a more economical Cooper D and bought this A Mini Cooper D Clubman, in rare Hot Chocolate with Chocolate Lounge leather, I LOVE IT!!! It has the economy being a diesel, and the tax is £20 per year, larger boot so can now take the dog out in it, 5 seats so the kids can have a friend each over, twin sunroof and loads fo legroom. Can't go wrong with Minis
Lesley
I had two recently. The first was a Mini One D in purple and I loved it!, very economical - I'd buy it back if I won the lottery They stopped making the One D but were bringing it back I think. Mercedes55
I think they look very nice, but they certainly aren't very "mini" these days A girl at OH's work has one and she's had nothing but problems with hers mechanically, although maybe she is an exception. Only one I ever had was one of the old original ones in the late 60's. I could write a novel about the fiascos I had with that car
clootie
I've got a Mini Countryman. Best car I've ever had and we've had a fair few over the years! I'd definitely go for diesel next time tho'

welovemarmite
Hubby has a clubman on the company car scheme. Lovesly car to drive, but no end of problems. At the moment the engine warning light is on all the time, despite having been infor a service! the door and boot handles have failed a number of times, oil problems and loads more that I have forgotten. All the nearly four years he has had it, I have had my hyundai which is two years older. Not a single problem... His mini is being changed later this year, not having another one.
