Luvachicken
I managed to get some nettex nutri drops for Heidi, but the instructions aren't really that clear I don't think. I gave her 1/2 the amount it said because she only weighs just over 500g. Now I'm worried because I gave it to her in one go. Does she have it just once a day - the box doesn't say. And is she meant to have it all in one go ? Thanks x
good_egg
When Viv was poorly I gave this to her in one go once a day. Think what you have done sounds right. I gave it to my babies when they were first here and a bit bullied but as I couldn't face forcing beaks open on them I made a yoghurt mash and put some in - seemed to work ok. Hope your girl feels better soon.
mimi5
Hi there. Yes, I forgotten that you have to half the dose (adjust by weight of chicken-guesstimate!) You've done it right I think. When I used it for mine, I used the dropper that it comes with as I wanted to be sure they got all of it! So how is she today? Any improvement? The nutridrops need to be given for a min 3 days and up to I think 5 days consecutively. Oh and when I mentioned Penny (my own hatched egg & only girl of the 4 is also called Penny!) I didn't want to make any connection, just that it's unfortunate and I feel for you as I lost 2 girls earlier this year and felt pretty blue about it. Mary had an impacted crop and had to be PTS Mandy was a complete mistery and just faded away one night I have come to realise that sometimes there's not much you can do. Thinking positive thoughts!!!!!!
The Dogmother
I always half the dosage as my bantams are roughly half the weight of a regular hybrid. I usually only need to give one dose, two at the most and they're back hopping around.... marvellous stuff!
Luvachicken
Thanks for that everyone, but I don't need to use it anymore
