TAJ Posted August 26, 2012 Share Posted August 26, 2012 We got tickets when they were first released so we are off to London next week to watch the paralympics. Wednesday Hamlet at The Globe as we couldn't get opening ceromoney tickets, then Thursday we have veladrome tickets in the morning, afternoon in the olympic park, an evening watching the swimming, then off to see the athletics Friday morning. Even trying to book on the day our tickets were confirmed getting accommodation was difficult so we are staying in a family room at the YHA not far from Oxford Street and given the cheap train travel linked to having tickets we decided to go 1st class. Everything I see on the telly and read in newspapers is so inspiring and I am really looking forward to it - this is our only break as a whole family this year - I hope it will be memorable. I especially like that we get introduced to the sportspeople. We all knew the big names in the Olympics but not so much the Paralympians. It also talks about being disabled in a new and exciting way that I haven't ever seen before.
