Oops - I did it again!

Well it was hubby really. He has gone chook mad!!!

Well we decided to part with a bantam cockerel & let him go with 2 girls. Leaving one poor lonely girl, which we wanted to keep.

So off we tootled to the auction & erm well..... we came home with 2 lavender frizzles to go with the lonely girl.... & two POL Marans for hubby's chook house.

Technically they didn't cost us anything though. But it is getting lethal going there. :anxious:

Lots of serious chicken fanciers & we are making some friends there too. :D

We laughed at the auction men getting the birds for the buyers though, as these two geese pecked the poor men to death. One man got bit on his arm, the other his stomach & the other man his hand!

lol,

I had to be strong today I went to the Frome Show and had to really really stop myself buying another pair of chucks they were all gorgeous but with 5 at home I think my hubby would have gone nuts, he is doing the maths and working out that not all my girls are laying (whoops) Mind you Fliss hasnt laid for ages, Judith (still query maybe Jude) and Connie are babies so they need a few weeks grace but the other two Fliss and Pricilla are happily laying in our old Guinea Pig hutch.

think I need to win the lottery and get myself a small holding :-)

Where are the pictures?! And how are the piggies?

It's probably a good job my partner isn't into chickens as I'd have a lot more - he has an addictive personality!!!

Hello Charly - im in Bath too! It's probably a good job I didn't get to the Frome show either (massive 5 mile tailback to get in), otherwise I might have ended up with more chooks!

Hey Gertie

Yeah the tailbacks were pretty impressive luckily my sisters partner knew a short cut and we managed to bypass a load of the traffic, they had some impressive chucks, and ducks. Wishing the lottery ticket that I havent checked is a winning one (dont want to check and shatter my dreams)
