auntielizzie
Now that I have five chickens and the new girls are laying nicely, I have had lots and lots and lots of eggs this last week and a half I have given a dozen away and I've had egg for tea four nights in a row So today I decided it was time to start trying to sell them. I put half a dozen out (four eggs from today and two from yesterday) in a big pink gift bag (the only thing I could find that was suitable ) which I wrote on in big writing "Fresh Eggs for Sale - £1 per half dozen". A couple of hours later I heard the letterbox go and on the floor was £1 I was very pleased to say the least Hope to try and sell some more later in the week and the girls can save up for their next bag of Garvo
chestnutmare
£1 Yes, I'm not surprised they sold! I sell the (rare) spares at £1.50 and I have people nagging for them!
poppers77
I'm the same but haven't pluck up the motivation to do a sign! Just got 3 ex batts. Which has got the other 2 going laying better than they ever have! So I have 18 eggs in the fridge - still haven't made the cake I've been threatening too! Trouble is everytime I hint to the neighbours. I give them to them for nothing! Lost cause??
scubababe
WOW. Love the honesty I sell my eggs to my familes. I now have a sign up which say's they are £1.00 for 6 (subject to availability). My mum has 6 off me each week and insists on paying for them (she can have them for free) My 9 girls are regularly producing 6/7 a day or even 9!!! I can only eat so many egg sarnies...luckily the kids love my eggy bread
sparkysmum
A friend sells my excess for me at 70p for 4 eggs. I know I'm undercharging but until now I gave them away free. It's a lovely thing to do as it's unlikely people would get the chance to sample such gorgeous eggs otherwise
Mrs_B
Whooop, exciting!! My neighbour loves being given eggs - she's even tried to slip me some money but I just hide the money in the next batch of eggs I give her My DF sells some at work and we sell them for £1 for half a dozen. We give eggs for free as a taster though I love hearing how much people love fresh eggs! x
