Well, I've done it. After coming to terms with the fact that I was spending over £870 on chickens, I clicked that button to pay and have just ordered a cube, with run and extension, and I also ordered a clear cover (can't have the chickens getting wet now can I?!).

I have a !goyellow! and !gored! already. One with the Go run and another in a small WIR. I hope I won't regret the (cube green) .

(cube green) is going to my parent's smallholding. LF are going there and the bantams will be in the !goyellow! and !gored! in my garden.

It all started with just a few hybrids...

You will not regret ordering a cube!!!! I know it's alot of money....but you get what you pay for!!It is So easy to use, I LOVE mine and wished I'd just ordered it in the first place instead of wasting money on a wooden one!!! (especially after the wooden one got red mite -Argh while my babies were in there growing on!!! empty again now, babies joined the adults in the cube!!) the clear cover is very good are the heavy duty dark green covers (I have the wind/run set of 3 which give shelter under the cube and a large one over the top for shade.)

It's so easy to clean the cube...minutes literally!! But I would get yourself an extra set of roosting bars for when you clean out. I know it's more money, but it means a quick change over and they get a proper scrub and enough time to dry out properly! :D

Enjoy!!

I'm actually looking forward to cleaning it out to see if it's just as easy as people say.

I have quite a few in there now but they all won't be staying. There are a few boys in there to go and the plan is that the bantams will be in my little garden (Cube is at smallholding). They just had to go out now. They were in the spare bedroom - how could I forget how much mess they make?!

In there are welsummers, marans, cream legbars, silkies and barbu d'uccles.

OH and I had to put them to bed. Not a pretty sight the two of us bent in half picking them up to go to bed.

They survived their first night anyway. I was up at silly o'clock partly due to my cold and partly because I was worried about their first night out in this weather. They are all fine anyway. I rushed to them as soon as there was a bit of light.

I like the barbu d'uccles too! There are two in there, two girls it seems. I gave OH the choice of either hatching sablepoots or barbu d'uccles. He chose barbu d'uccles. They are such cuties, I am drawn to them.

Why don't those chickens keep still and pose when I am trying to take photos of them with my phone?!
