Smart white shirt - suggestions needed

Recommended Posts

Right, I need to replace a couple of my smart white work shirts and as you know, I hate shopping.

I am looking for a white shirt... note that I don't call it a blouse; I don't want frilly or decorated, just a plain white, well made shirt. 100% cotton, long sleeved and a sort of straight cut (like a man's shirt if you get my idea). The last lot came from Gap a few years ago.

Any ideas shoppers?

CharlesTyrwhitt at Bicester Village - not TOO far from the entrance for you to do a smash and grab before becoming hysterical  ! Mind you,I know what you mean - I was there a few weeks ago and went full of hope and with a moderate amount of hard earned cash and only managed to buy some melamine mugs from Bridgewater before becoming claustrophobic (why can't people walk FASTER  ?) Its back to E bay for me :shock:

What about the Laura Ashley at the big garden centre complex down the road from Bicester Village?

Good luck - if I see an item on Central News about a mad woman running amok at Bicester Village trailing a handful of shirts I'll know who it is

Those are just the sort of shirt that I'm looking for Terri 8)

I like the Lands End one too Olly

Had to laugh at the idea of me running amok at Bicester Village, Soapdragon :lol: My technique (if you can call it that) for going there is to check to see if they have the item I want in stock, reserve it on the phone and get Phil to drop me there and circle the car park for 10 minutes while I rush in to get it. That way I avoid the car park nightmare and don't have to kill too many Chinese tourists on my visit.

I do hate hate way that everyone at these places seems to walk at/into you, I find it very rude.

How many is too many, Clare??!!

On the very rare occasions that I go (rare due to chronic lack of both funds and moral fibre) I get there at 9.45am, loiter in Carluccio's for 15 mins then tear into Fat Face only to find it full of 8/10s and 18/20s no average sizes at all, belt down to Cath Kidston, get totally confused by major amounts on offer and so leave empty handed, sneak into Radley to smell the handbags, try the cosmetics place only to exit about 4 mins later clutching my throat and gasping for air having been overcome by perfume fumes before I could suss if they have anything 'natural' and launch a final lightening raid on Emma Bridgewater whilst desperatly trying to keep my handbag under control so that I don't send anything flying.

Then I go next door to Tesco!

Get back home desperate for a reviving cuppa only to have OH enquire 'Have a nice time dear' whereupon I tell him and he mutters 'don't know why you bother going, then'......he has a point!
