Oh my goodness.....was this for a good cause or simply tradition?

 

DS has done several NYD dips in the sea for our local scout group.....can't say I miss that tradition ...we still have the advertising boards on the edge of our garden for December tho, so we do still do our bit in a small way...

It was in aid of a children's cancer charity. Although it was obviously freezing I think the weather was better than the previous couple of years, it's the first time she has done it as she normally lives and works in London; she has been swimming in the lido there over the last couple of months and reckons the sea was warmer .
