The Dogmother
Is it anything like Wallander? I liked that and used to watch it on iplayer, besides it fed my Ken Branagh crush Anyone know when/if Wallander is back on?
chicken bark
Just started watching Borgen. I've not seen the first series though. I love all these dramas - Wallander, The Bridge, The Killing. I've just watched all the foreign versions of Steig Larsons Girl with the Dragon Tattoo and thought they were great too. I'm not sure if they are really that well done or because you need to read the subtitles you have to pay closer attention to the films. Either way they while away some cold evenings. Yorkshire Pudding
I recorded the whole of the first series and watched it in huge chunks while ironing... fantastic stuff, really quality drama. No-one else in the household is even slightly interested in watching them with me so I get them all to myself...

Daphne
I love all these Scandinavian dramas as well What puzzles me though, is that there only seem to be about 10 actors in Sweden and Denmark combined We watched the first episode of the 2nd series of Borgen last night to find the female Danish Statsminister (Prime Minister) talking to the Swedish Statsminister from the 3rd series of The Killing who has turned up as a car salesman in Borgen. She is also just about married to somebody from the 1st series of The Killing. I am pretty certain that the bridge from The Bridge was in the 3rd Killing too Apparently Neil Kinnock's son is married to the real Danish PM! The Dogmother
I had a peek but the subtitles don't do it for me.
bottledcherryangel
I love these Scandinavian dramas. They are bleak and so is the scenery, which appeals to me. I know what Daphne means about there not being many actors from that part of the world. Jan Meyer, Blix and Theis L"Ooops, word censored!"n keep cropping up all over the place. Plum
It's a better series than the first and I enjoyed that. I believe there is a 3rd series ready to be shown, but not here for a bit. Love them all and Spiral (the french one) is brilliant.
