Storing music (and other files) 'on the cloud'

Recommended Posts

I am in a quandary....

I currently have music stored on my work PC (mainly because I mostly listen to it there) and synchronised with my ipod. I'd like to have it on my home laptop too and the most logical answer seems to be that I store it online on one of the cloud-type applications so that I can access it anywhere and from any device. Does anyone else do this and how have they found it?

I think you only get 5gb of free storage in the cloud, anymore and you have to pay for it. 5gb doesn't hold much of my music, so I only use it to sync essentials between devices. It works fine, but I keep all my music on my laptop and just transfer playlists onto my iphone to save memory. Maybe you could just sync certain playlists to the cloud so you could use them at work?

I'm interested in this too. I use Dropbox to back up my important files and the songs I have bought on Amazon are automatically backed up in the cloud. However I saw on the reviews of the Amazon mp3 app that some people who had exported their entire music library to the cloud were having trouble accessing it. But it's been a while since I looked at it so I'm interested to hear if anyone has experience...anyone?
