Eggasperated
Did anyone buy the 'bounceback' duvet from Aldi a couple of weeks ago? I got one and it was very cheap and is lovely and warm but it's like fighting a yeti . I am a very restless sleeper and when I wake up in the night it's trying to smother me. Think I need some tips on how to tame it .
freddie
you need a Flynn in with you, she's such a wriggler, none of us get a decent nights' sleep.(Springer X) oh, and a couple of cats, to weigh down the corners..
The Dogmother
I take it it's a synthetically filled duvet? They tend to calm down after a bit.
soapdragon
Have you tried a chair and a whip? I also find that sanctions work well in our house both with boys and OH but not sure if this would be suitable! You could try a severe 'Barbara Woodehouse' type voice - I've used that to good effect on a number of occasions (tho only with males - cuts no ice with females!) Good luck! Yes, it is synthetic, that's what I usually buy - but never had one as animated as this one! Have you tried a chair and a whip? Oh yes, the chair and whip trick - think I'll be giving that a try tonight if it carries on behaving the same way .
The Dogmother
You need a couple of cats to weigh it down! I currently have my 'big winter duvet' (feather and down) on with a fleece blanket on top and what a friend refers to as 2 'tog cats'. but then I do sleep with the window open and the heating isn't on over night. We sleep with the window open and heating off but also have two hot cats to keep us warm. Max especially loves to snuggle down next to me. He has the advantage over a hot water bottle in that he maintains a constant temperature and has a built in furry cover. On the downside he has a tendency to stick a claw in me when he wants attention and also wanders off from time to time during the night
