Gemma is the last of my babies to almost start laying.

I went to give them their supper tonight and as I threw the corn my hand went over Gemma and she crouched

Yay, I can't wait to start collecting 6 eggs

Mind you, most days I only seem to get 2

My 5 big girls are all crouching still waiting for Annie and Clarabel my pekins to crouch , Im getting 3 to 4 eggs a day which in fact is more than we need cue some happy teachers at the kids school

Myrtle crouched for a couple of weeks before producing a lovely tiny eggy , but Marguerite never did crouch and still doesn't. Lays nice though

 

Fingers crossed Gemma will be adding to your omelettes very soon!

Ah how lovely More yummy eggs and another egg dance It should be about a week from crouching to laying, so be on the look out!! I'm getting 3-4 eggs most days and I'm not sure if my last little one Tilly has started too!

 

Had a bit of a hick-up here with intros. Babies Polly and Tilly got on fine with Mr Morris (so sweet they all cuddle up at night in the classic) but when I tried moving on with mixing big girls in the cube and classic group FR only, Tilly got stressed and before you know it she and Polly has symptoms of Myco So the 3 are on Baytril and I'm throwing away any eggs from the classic nestbox Watching big girls like a hawk

 

Just hope it all turns out ok and everyone recovers and I'll be back to intro joys

Thanks ladies Been feeling really blue as I had been going slow with the intros and with the classic had no urgency to get them all together.

 

It seems even when I try to do things right they go pear shaped anyway Chicken keeping is not as easy as I imagined
