My girls are being wormed with Flubenvet at the moment.

They were having alternate weeks of cider vinegar and tonic.

Can they have these whilst they are being wormed ?

I'd go with the apple cider vinegar but hold the tonic. It wouldn't do them any harm but I'd exclude anything that could interfere with the efficacy of the wormer.

There's no reason why you shouldn't; there's nowt in most of the tonics which would interfere with the Flubenvet. They are just like a human multi-vitamin in general.

 

Nettex does make a gut conditioner, which is supposed to improve gut health and make them less susceptible to worms and digested issues; I haven't used it on my chooks but have heard good things about it so I guess you could use it between worming sessions if you wanted.

It won't hurt them to be off their 'extras' for a few days.

If it was me I would give them just Flubenvet pellets and water for a week while you worm them.

 

 

Any ACV or tonics may affect the absorption or mode of action of the Flubenvet.

It's only a week so they'll be fine without it

I forgot to give them the ACV anyway, so I will wait now.

They have also eaten the container of pellets I mixed up already so I will have to mix up another 2kg of food for the next few days. Greedy girlies
