One of OH's students was kind enough to give him a bottle of red wine for Christmas. It was a bottle of that Chocolate Shop wine, which says it is for chocolate lovers, as it has dark chocolate flavouring in it. OH cannot drink red wine or eat chocolate (actually, he can but then he is bad) so he let me have it I've just opened the bottle (after a hard week at work, that's the excuse ) and have to say it is sweet and horrid! Now I love red wine and dark chocolate is tolerable to me, and I really love sweet things, but this stuff is beyond sickly! It is such a shame!

 

Anyone else tried it?

 

I have just realised it is also quite strong, and I have not yet done the ironing, just wondering if I should iron under the influence.....

Sounds like a headache in a bottle.

Definitely don't iron under the influence - fold the laundry, put it under a cushion and sit on it.

My friend had some for Christmas and she loved it. I did look it up but it sounded so sweet I never bought any to try. Maybe you need to have it as a desert wine with a chocolate pud?

A friend of mine bought some for me. I thought it was disgusting! I expected it so be sweet like a dessert wine, but it wasn't. Just horrid!

Isn't 'ironing under the influence' an offence? If not then it certainly should be!

We tried some at a friends dinner party, on Wednesday, too sweet for me but definitely chocolatey!

Well, I did finish the wine (didn't want to waste it!) and I did get a headache

 

I left the ironing until Sunday, when I was sober

 

If we ever get any more, I will give it to a raffle
