Can't believe only was asking advice on the forum the other day about when the girls should start laying! I opened the eglu yesterday morning to start cleaning it could not believe it 2 tiny little eggs! It nearly made me cry!! Both eggs weigh less than an ounze one is white the other is a light tinited colour, just waiting for them to lay again this morning. They are 18 weeks old today, can't believe they both decided to lay on the same day.

Did you hatch your chickens yourself?

Yes we hatched the chickens at school as my son was doing a project on farms, we have had them at home with us since they where a day old.

I still get a thrill every day when I collect the eggs. The first ones are always special
