Clucking_Mad Posted June 1, 2013 Share Posted June 1, 2013 I have recently put on a couple of post saying bye to two of my girls due to illness. Well this has meant that Ethel is now on her own and has been since Tuesday and she was not happy, bless her she was missing her friends and got very lonely. So me and the OH had a good long chat and decided to get two more girls to keep Ethel company, we had a good look into all the breeds we like and some we didn't know much about and thought that either Orpingtons or Faverolles would make good friends for our Bluebelle Ethel. So we searched the internet and contacted various people to see what was available. Today we went to a lovely little place called Julia's Poultry Barn in Hagworthingham to have a look at what they had to offer and have come away with two new friends for Ethel. However they are not the breeds we were looking for, so we now have a beautiful Cream Legbar Cross which we have called Dorothy and a gorgeous naked neck called Beryl. We have kept the two new ones separate from Ethel but they can see each other through fencing and we will do this for a while until they get used to each other and then gently get them spending time together. I can't wait for them to become a little flock and start free ranging together I'm so excited. I am hoping to take pics tomorrow so as soon as I have some I will put them on here for you all to see.
