Janepie33
Bit of a long shot, but has anyone had to spend a long time in Shanghai airport??!! DD has a 23 hour stop over there in August on her way to Taiwan. She will be travelling alone. I have looked on line for transit hotels, as she will not be able to leave the airport, but some of them seem to say that they are transit hotels and are situated away from the airport. Confused. The Dogmother
It's a very long time since I went through that airport, but I understand that it now has 'resting' rooms and showers fro those in long-time transit. Perhaps the embassy will be able to confirm if there's no info online. 32 years ago, when I travelled, we used to sleep in the terminal on our backpacks
Patricia W
I've not been to that one, but the other long haul stopover airports I've been to, all have showers etc. I think it's pretty standard now.
Janepie33
Thank you. As she is travelling on her own, I was just a bit concerned about her falling asleep and having all her stuff stolen.

Lavenders_Blue
It could be worth checking if there are lockers in the airport?
