Luvachicken
We went fruit picking yesterday so I could make some jam We picked some raspberries, redcurrants and blackcurrants, each of which there are a few left over - not enough to make anything with - so I wondered if the chickens could have them ? Mind you, I gave them some blackberries I got from the park and they really turned their noses up at them
sjp
yes my mob helped themselves to the blackcurrants raspberries and blackberries and I gave my broody and chicks redcurrants and white currants and the odd blackberry last weekend as a reward at the show I displayed them at for some reason they weren't that taken with the white currants
Luvachicken
Thanks I will let them have some - not that they have laid me any eggs
The Dogmother
They love them, and the berries are good in small amounts, but as with any fruit, I'd only let them have small quantities and at the end of the day. Too many will result in very nasty diarrhoea.
