I cannot work out how to change my password - I received a PM and couldn't access it because I couldn't remember the password! So Omlet gave me a new one which is full of numbers and letters and I'll never remember it.

 

I am having a bad day and can't work out how to change it to something that I will be able to remember! Could someone who is a bit more on the ball than me please help!? Sorry

User control panel > profile >edit profile> change password.

Thanks but I have just done this three times but, when I click reset, it just throws me back out again!

'Reset' will set it back to the previous settings; you need to click 'submit'.

 

Also that should read; user control panel | profile | edit account settings

DM please send a large box of patches! I can now work out how to change the password but each time I type in what I thought was my old pass word, it says its not recognised. Now I have NO idea what my old password was and so cannot change it!!!!

Your old password is long gone. Omlet sent you a new one (which was numbers and letters). This is now the "old password" you need to put in then changing to a new one.

WH, I did type the new one a number of times checking the case sensitivity carefully it but it wasn't recognised then I'd tried too many times and it locked me out! I threw myself on poor, long suffering Tom's mercy and he has, I think, waved his magic wand (everything crossed!)
